岩手高原滑雪公园位于日本岩手县盛冈附近，可以看到岩手山和山下城市的开阔景色。它拥有盛冈和雫石一带唯一的箱型缆车，把滑雪者送到约1,200米的山顶，不用换乘就能享受约2,600米的巡航长滑。

Children in elementary school (sixth grade) and younger ride the lifts and gondola free every day, which can save a family a lot of money. There is a kids snow school for first-time young skiers, and gentle family slopes where children can practice. This makes Iwate Kogen one of the better-value resorts for families in the region.

A long cruising run from the 1,200 m summit
Iwate Kogen has the only gondola in the Morioka and Shizukuishi area. It carries skiers to the summit at about 1,200 m for a long run of about 2,600 m, with wide views of Mount Iwate and Morioka city. You reach the top in one ride without changing lifts, so it is easy for families to ride up together.

Cruising, moguls, and evening runs
The 10 courses include flat, wide cruising runs, a mogul course, and gentle slopes for children. There is a mogul-specialist school, which is rare in the region. Night skiing runs daily during the season, with later hours on Fridays, Saturdays, and the day before a holiday.
