Close to Osaka, Kyoto, and Nagoya
Gransnow Okuibuki is one of the closest large resorts to the Kansai cities. It is about 100 minutes from Osaka, 80 minutes from Kyoto, and 60 minutes from Nagoya. For families flying into Kansai (KIX) or Nagoya, this makes a day trip or short stay easy.
One of the biggest in Japan, with a covered moving walkway
The resort has one of the largest kids parks in Japan. It has a fenced beginner area for sledding and snow play, and a covered moving walkway (a magic carpet inside a tunnel) that protects children from wind, snow, and rain. This is a strong setup for first-time snow play and very young children.
Heavy local snowfall and snowmaking
The Ibuki area gets heavy snowfall, and the resort also has snowmaking. Because of this, it holds good snow and runs a long season, usually from mid-November to mid-April. For families booking ahead, this makes conditions more predictable.
