Lotte Arai Resort opened for 2025-2026 on 13 December

Lotte Arai Resort opened for the 2025-2026 winter season on 13 December 2025. The resort planned a long season, until about 10 May 2026.

Arai is in Myoko, Niigata, and gets very heavy snowfall. A large part of the ski area is ungroomed, with managed free-riding zones for powder. On clear days, you can see the sea from the mountain. The resort runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Arai is a full resort with a hotel, restaurants, and an onsen. A free shuttle bus runs for hotel guests from Joetsu-Myoko Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen, about 30 minutes away.
