Geto Kogen will start its 2026-2027 season on Saturday, 28 November 2026. From 28 November to 4 December, only the first gondola runs, from 9:00 to 16:00. The regular season, with all lifts and the gondola, is planned to start on Saturday, 5 December.
The regular season runs until Sunday, 28 March 2027. Spring skiing follows from 29 March until Wednesday, 5 May 2027, on the gondola and two pair lifts. The resort says the dates can change with snowfall.
Night skiing runs from 16:00 to 20:00 on the first pair lift. It is planned on weekends and holidays from 12 December to 28 February, and every night from 26 December to 3 January.
Some lists on social media show 12 December as Geto Kogen's opening day. That is the first day of night skiing. The resort's own schedule shows 28 November.
Geto Kogen is in Iwate, about 3 hours 30 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Tohoku Shinkansen to Kitakami Station, then the free resort shuttle bus (about 1 hour). Check the shuttle timetable before you travel.
