Maiko Snow Resort confirms 19 December opening

Maiko Snow Resort will open on Saturday, 19 December 2026 for the 2026-2027 winter season. The season is planned to run until Sunday, 28 March 2027. Last season Maiko opened on 20 December.

Some lists on social media show 4 April as Maiko's last day. The resort's official website says 28 March. The resort also says the dates can change with the weather.

Night skiing is planned from 29 December to 1 January, and on weekends from 2 January to 13 March.

For families, the resort's lift page says each parent can bring up to two preschool children on the lifts free. Maiko has not yet updated its lift prices for 2026-2027, so check this again before you travel.

Maiko sits in the Yuzawa area, about 1 hour 50 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, then a free shuttle or taxi (about 15 to 20 minutes).
