Shiga Kogen opened for 2025-2026 on 6 December

Shiga Kogen opened for the 2025-2026 winter season on 6 December 2025. One common key ticket covers all 18 linked ski areas and about 50 lifts and gondolas, which makes it the largest connected ski area in Japan.

The central part links Ichinose, Takamagahara, Nishitateyama, Higashitateyama, and Terakoya, so you can ski from one area to the next on a single pass. Shiga Kogen is high in the mountains, so the snow is dry and the season is long.
