Kagura confirms 28 November opening

Kagura will open on Saturday, 28 November 2026 for the 2026-2027 winter season. The season is planned to run until Sunday, 16 May 2027. Last season it opened on 22 November.

These dates are for the Kagura and Mitsumata areas. The Tashiro area is planned to open on Saturday, 19 December 2026 and close on Wednesday, 5 May 2027. The Naeba Dragondola, which links Naeba and Tashiro, is planned to run from 26 December 2026 to 22 March 2027.

Kagura sits in the Yuzawa area, about 2 hours from Tokyo. Take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, then a shuttle bus to Mitsumata (about 20 minutes) or Tashiro (about 30 minutes).
