GALA Yuzawa opened for the 2025-2026 winter season on 20 December 2025. It is the only ski resort in the world that connects directly to a bullet-train station.
From Tokyo Station, the fastest train reaches Gala-Yuzawa Station in about 71 minutes. The station links straight to the ski centre, so you do not walk on snow to get there. The gondola runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The resort has 16 courses in three areas, and it stays open until 6 May 2026, around the Golden Week holidays.
