Kandatsu opens a pre-season on 11 December, with the main season from 19 December

Kandatsu will start a pre-season on Friday, 11 December 2026. The main (top) season runs from Saturday, 19 December 2026 to 28 March 2027. A spring season follows from 29 March until Sunday, 11 April 2027.

Some lists on social media show 19 December as Kandatsu's opening day and 18 April as its last day. The resort's official website shows a pre-season from 11 December and a last day of 11 April.

Night skiing is planned from 18 December to 27 March, on Fridays, Saturdays, and nights before holidays. It runs from 18:00 until 2:00 the next morning. Over New Year, night skiing runs four nights in a row.

Kandatsu sits in the Yuzawa area, about 1 hour 30 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Joetsu Shinkansen to Echigo-Yuzawa Station, then the free shuttle bus from the east exit (about 7 minutes).
