Hakuba Cortina confirms 12 December opening

Hakuba Cortina will open on Saturday, 12 December 2026 for the 2026-2027 winter season. The season is planned to run until Monday, 29 March 2027. Last season it opened on 13 December.

For 2026-2027, every lift ticket the resort sells is a joint ticket with Hakuba Norikura. You can ride all lifts and ski all courses at both resorts.

Hakuba Cortina sits in the Hakuba area, about 3 hours 45 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano Station, then the Alpico bus (about 1 hour 45 minutes).

Most resorts near Tokyo announce their dates between September and November. We track every confirmed 2026-2027 date, and explain how season timing works, in one place: When Do Honshu Ski Resorts Open?
