GALA Yuzawa will open on Saturday, 19 December 2026 for the 2026-2027 winter season. The season is planned to run until Wednesday, 5 May 2027. Last season it opened on 20 December.
From 12 to 18 December, the gondola and a sightseeing lift run for sightseeing only. You cannot ski or snowboard until 19 December.
The South area will not operate in 2026-27. This includes the ropeway link to Yuzawa Kogen. A shuttle bus will link the two resorts instead.
GALA Yuzawa sits in the Yuzawa area, about 1 hour 20 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Joetsu Shinkansen (Tanigawa) to GALA Yuzawa Station, which sits inside the resort.
