The Shiga Kogen joint lift ticket will run from Saturday, 5 December 2026 to Wednesday, 5 May 2027. Last season the Shiga Kogen Central Area opened on 6 December.
This is the period of the joint lift ticket that covers the Shiga Kogen ski areas. Each ski area inside Shiga Kogen may open on a different day, so check the area you plan to ski before you travel.
Shiga Kogen is about 3 hours 15 minutes from Tokyo. Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen to Nagano Station, then the Nagaden express bus (about 70 to 85 minutes).
Most resorts near Tokyo announce their dates between September and November. We track every confirmed 2026-2027 date, and explain how season timing works, in one place: When Do Honshu Ski Resorts Open?
