About 60 min from Azumino IC (Nagano Expressway) or Nagano IC (Joshin-etsu Expressway), and about 70 min from Itoigawa IC (Hokuriku Expressway). The car park fronts the well-cleared Route 148, with the centre house just across the JR Oito Line tracks. Studless tires are essential in snow or icy conditions, and 2WD cars must carry chains.
Four lots: P1 (approx. 100 cars) and P2 (approx. 150 cars) along Route 148 are the ones to use; P3 (approx. 50) and P4 (approx. 20) sit up a steep, narrow approach that the resort asks 2WD drivers and those unused to snow roads to avoid.
