About 80% beginner and intermediate runs
Around 80% of Sanosaka's courses are for beginners and intermediates. The main slope is wide and gentle, and the resort is small enough that families can stay together easily. From the 2025-26 season, the new Snow Friends Park adds a moving carpet for practice and a snow play zone for non-skiers.
Sheltered slopes and easy road access
Sanosaka's slopes are surrounded by hills, so the lifts rarely stop for wind. This is a real advantage over some exposed Hakuba resorts, where wind can close lifts on bad days. The car park is right next to the national road, so there is no long mountain drive to reach the resort.
Ski toward Lake Aoki for less
The Lake Down Course faces Lake Aoki and gives the feeling of skiing toward the water, which is rare in Hakuba. Sanosaka is also one of the more affordable Hakuba Valley resorts. The adult one-day ticket is lower than at the large resorts, and web or advance tickets cost less again.
