Snow tubing, a snow escalator, and a kids room
Kashimayari runs a Pokemon Snow Adventure area with a long snow tubing park and other play features. There is a snow escalator that helps first-time skiers move up gentle slopes without tiring out. A central beginner area sits close to the car park, which is easy for parents carrying gear and small children.
Ski toward Lake Aoki on wide slopes
Many runs at Kashimayari look out over Lake Aoki, and the views are a real reason people choose this resort. The longest run reaches about 5 kilometres, so even beginners can enjoy a long descent. The level split is balanced across beginner, intermediate, and advanced, so mixed-level groups can ski together.
Closest Hakuba resort to Tokyo, usually less busy
Kashimayari is the southern gateway of Hakuba Valley and the closest resort to the Tokyo side. It is usually less crowded than the larger Hakuba resorts, so lift queues are short. Families who want the Hakuba Valley experience with fewer people often start here.
