Hakuba Tsugaike opened for the 2025-2026 season on 1 December 2025. The start was first delayed by low snow, then confirmed once conditions improved.
Through the NSD Kids Program, children can ski at 14 group resorts, including Tsugaike, for one small fee. The fee was 1,800 yen until 31 January 2026, then 3,500 yen.

For Tsugaike, I would recommend the Bell Ringing Hill slope. It is probably the widest slope in the Hakuba Valley, and anyone can enjoy it.
Take the JR Chuo Line to Otsuki Station (1.5 hours), then take a bus to Fujiten (30 minutes). The total journey takes about 2 hours, making it perfect for day trips from Tokyo.
