Madarao opened for 2025-2026 on 13 December

Madarao opened for the 2025-2026 winter season on 13 December 2025. The resort sits at about 1,000 metres on the border of Nagano and Niigata, and it uses 100% natural snow.

Madarao has 32 courses and the most tree-run courses in Japan, with good powder snow. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with night skiing on some dates. The base has a kids park with a moving walkway and snow tubing for families. The Mountain Pass lift ticket also lets you ride the next-door Tangram Ski Circus.
