Yokoteyama confirms 14 November opening

Shiga-Kogen Yokoteyama and Shibutoge plan to open on Saturday, 14 November 2026 for the 2026-2027 winter season. Last season Yokoteyama opened on 20 November. The closing date has not been announced yet.

Yokoteyama is the highest ski area in Japan, so it is one of the first natural-snow resorts to open each year. The resort says lift maintenance is now under way. The opening date can still change if snow comes late.
