Yakebitaiyama opened for the 2025-2026 winter season in early December 2025. It is one of the resorts in the large Shiga Kogen area.
Yakebitaiyama has two gondolas and connects to the next-door Okushiga Kogen area. A Prince hotel sits at the base, with ski-in and ski-out access. The lower slopes are gentle and suit families, and the resort was a venue at the 1998 Winter Olympics.
