Joetsu Kokusai opened for the 2025-2026 winter season in December 2025. It is one of the largest resorts in the Joetsu area, with four zones and a long run of up to 6,000 metres.
Joetsu Kokusai is very good for families. It has the Kids Paradise play area with snow tubing and snow play, the ski-in and ski-out Hotel Green Plaza Joetsu with an onsen, and fireworks every Saturday. It is about three hours from the Tokyo area.
