Madarao Kogen in northern Nagano has joined the Ikon Pass for the 2026-2027 season. On the Ikon Pass website, it is listed as Madarao Mountain Resort.
Ikon Pass holders get 7 days at Madarao. Ikon Base Pass holders get 5 days. There are no blackout dates. The Ikon Session Pass does not include Madarao.
Madarao is known for its tree runs. The Ikon announcement says 60% of its courses are ungroomed, and it has 12 official tree courses.
With Madarao, six resorts in our guide are now on the Ikon Pass: Madarao, Lotte Arai, Myoko Suginohara, Shiga Kogen, Appi Kogen and Zao Onsen. The first four sit close together in northern Nagano and Niigata.
Madarao shares a lift pass with Tangram next door. If you plan to use your Ikon days on both sides, check with the resort first.
